About Dr. Crosby

John Crosby, M.D., is a highly trained, double board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist at Louisiana Pain Specialists.

Dr. Crosby began his career as an anesthesiologist in Northwest Louisiana, but the desire to treat patients on a more personal level led him to pursue a career as a pain management physician.

He completed his interventional pain fellowship at Texas Tech University in Lubbock under Dr. Miles Day, an international lecturer and instructor. He also worked with Dr. Gabor Racz, a world-renowned pioneer in the field of interventional pain and a charter member of the World Institute of Pain and the National Pain Foundation.

Dr. Crosby offers multiple methods of controlling pain, including ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopically guided procedures, peripheral nerve ablation, and the latest advances in spinal cord neuromodulation/surgical techniques.

He has held several leadership positions while serving as an anesthesiologist in Shreveport, including serving on the board of directors of Christus Health Northwest Louisiana. He was chosen as one of Shreveport/Bossier City’s Top Doctors by the Shreveport Bossier Magazine multiple times.

Because pain can cause ongoing struggles, social isolation, and even withdrawal from friends and family, Dr. Crosby helps patients reach a point where being around other people is a joy and not something to avoid.

Dr. Crosby grew up in the area and his family is deeply rooted in Cajun heritage. He has a sincere love for the people of South Louisiana and compassionately welcomes them to Louisiana Pain Specialists.
