Louisiana Pain Specialists is the realization of a life long dream of Dr. Tarun Jolly, its founder. At Louisiana Pain Specialists we operate on the basic principle that in order to provide the best pain relief for suffering patients, you have to be able to accurately diagnose them. Often chronic pain patients are subjected to the diagnostic merry-go-round, having been seen by their primary care physician, neurosurgeon, physical medicine doctor, and many others. The foundation of our organization is built upon accurate diagnosis coupled with advanced therapies and interventions aimed at improving a patients daily living. What sets us apart is that we welcome the challenging patients that may have failed many previous treatments. Conditions like failed back surgery syndrome, post-herpetic neuralgia, refractory back pain, multi-factorial neck pain, and many others are welcome to the practice. We pride ourselves on taking the time to fully understand the origins of a patients pain and develop a plan of care. We believe that through a multi-disciplinary approach, our patients come that much closer to their goal of pain relief.

    Posted: Sep 30, 2010

Dr. Jolly and the rest of the staff try to make your procedure flow smoothly. Many patients ask if they will be “under” for the injection.  There would be more risks associated with putting a patient under anesthesia for a simple 10 minute procedure. Posted: Sep 28, 2010

Epidural Steroid Injections (ESIs) are injections into the epidural space that help reduce inflammation of the spinal nerves which cause pain. ESIs can be used to treat localized pain or radicular pain (a sharp pain that shoots from the back or neck down the arms or legs). ESIs can help pain associated with disc herniation, postlamiectomies, nerve impingement, and even postherpetic neuralgia.
