New Orleans CityBusiness Names Dr. Jolly a 2021 Healthcare Hero

Dr. Jolly

Louisiana Pain Specialists is proud to announce that Dr. Suneil “Neil” Jolly has been awarded one of New Orleans City Business 2021 “Health Care Heroes” awards. Started in 2007, Health Care Heroes honors health care professionals in the New Orleans area in the following categories: first responders, nursing, physicians, professionals, and volunteers. For physicians, honorees work to discover new medicine or practices that can save lives or improve the quality of life for many people. These honorees are also involved in community organizations and outreach programs that focus on improving the community’s health. The honorees will be celebrated at an event October 25 at the New Orleans Museum of Art. A publication featuring them will be inserted into the Oct. 22 issue of City Business. Read below to learn more about why Dr. Jolly exemplifies high achievement in his industry, while remaining dedicated to community service and involvement. Born and raised in New Orleans, Dr. Jolly is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician. After completing his training across the country, Dr. Jolly was proud to return to New Orleans in 2016, a city that he calls home. He now serves as President and CEO of Louisiana Pain Specialists, an interventional pain management practice with multiple locations to serve the greater New Orleans community. Through his compassion and diligence, Dr. Jolly is committed towards bettering the health – and ultimately the lives – of his patients. He has helped thousands of those in our community suffering from acute and chronic pain get back to doing what is important to them: working, having restful sleep, spending quality time with friends and family, and participating in their normal daily life. Dr. Jolly is at the forefront of our region’s fight against the opioid epidemic by treating chronic pain with the most innovative and cutting-edge technology, thus reducing the need for long-term opioid therapy. He is one of the very few providers in the state of Louisiana who offers minimally invasive non-surgical treatment options including Minuteman by Spinal Simplicity, Vertiflex, and LinQ SI joint stabilization. In 2016, Dr. Jolly also founded the S.A.F.E. Initiative – a grassroots campaign in New Orleans to help combat the community’s opioid epidemic through education and community outreach. When other traditional methods have failed to bring pain relief to patients with challenging conditions, Dr. Jolly has successfully improved the quality of life for the New Orleans community.

Dr. Jolly spent almost 15 years away from his home in New Orleans while training and gaining the most advanced skills in interventional pain medicine. At the end of it all, and with multiple other opportunities to continue his career across the country, Dr. Jolly knew his calling was to return to New Orleans and to serve his beloved community. He has been involved in public health education and outreach events, sharing his knowledge and expertise with both patients and providers; and as a true New Orleanian and “neighbor to all,” Dr. Jolly focuses his outreach on the city’s healthcare and education disparities. Expanding to a global level, he recently announced that a portion of all new patient visits at Louisiana Pain Specialists during the months of May, June, and July will be donated directly to Covid-19 relief efforts in India. In addition to his new patient visit contributions, and in partnership with the dedicated local community and several partners in healthcare, Dr. Jolly recently hosted “Nola Tennis Mania 2021,” an event at City Park which raised over $7000 to be directly donated to Covid-19 relief in India. Both personally and professionally, Dr. Jolly continues to immerse himself in the city to improve health outcomes not only for his patients, but for the larger New Orleans community.
