Lauren Mears, PA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant with a strong background in ambulatory general neurology and behavioral health. She is passionate about providing patient-centered care, focusing on chronic pain management, neurological conditions, and promoting overall well-being.
Lauren earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, LA, where she graduated with a perfect GPA of 4.0. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Throughout her education, Lauren developed a deep commitment to clinical excellence, which has shaped her practice as a healthcare provider.
In 2022, Lauren began her career as a Physician Assistant in ambulatory general neurology at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, LA, where she worked until 2023. She focused on patient care and treatment plans for those suffering from neurological disorders, ensuring comprehensive evaluations and a holistic approach to pain management. Prior to that, Lauren held various roles in behavioral health and autism care, where she provided support for children with autism, including leading a team of ABA technicians at Gulfsouth Autism Center and Crane Rehab Center.
Lauren’s clinical rotations during her education included experiences in emergency medicine, internal medicine, interventional radiology, pediatrics, and general surgery. These rotations helped her develop a diverse skill set and allowed her to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in diverse clinical settings.
Lauren is dedicated to improving the lives of her patients, focusing on providing effective treatments, developing personalized care plans, and ensuring that patients feel heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey. She is accepting new patients.
