Firas Hijazi, MD
Dr. Firas Hijazi earned his medical degree from the University of Brescia in Italy. He completed his medical residency in anesthesia at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, and a fellowship in interventional pain management from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Dr. Hijazi’s research interest is regional anesthesia in pain management. He has been certified as a diplomat by the American Board of Anesthesia, the ABA Pain Management Board and is both ACLS and PALS certified. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesia, River Parishes Medical Society and Louisiana State Medical Society.
Dr. Hijazi is fluent in English, Italian and Arabic. He is licensed to practice medicine in several states and comes to Louisiana Pain Specialists after working as a medical staff member in interventional pain management at River Parishes Hospital, St. Charles Hospital and St. James Hospital in Louisiana.
